CARIBOU – Aroostook Partnership for Progress (APP) recently “showcased “Aroostook County to six representatives from The Staubach Company, a global real estate advisory firm with 1,200 employees located in 58 offices throughout the Americas.
“Hosting business executives and site consultants is a very important part of our marketing strategy. We know that the County often sells itself given the opportunity, so having six Staubach Company representatives in the County this past weekend was a great opportunity for us,” said Walt Elish, APP president and CEO.
“Showcase Aroostook” has been an important element of APP’s strategic business plan since our formation,” said APP Board Chair and President/CEO of Katahdin Trust Company Jon Prescott. “APP’s showcase strategy is to have the business executive experience first-hand our excellent work force and pro-business attitude,” he added.
Pete Marin, senior vice president of The Staubach Company, was impressed with what he and his associates saw and heard during the regional tour. “Based on the information provided by APP, meetings with various business executives in the area and experiencing first-hand the community spirit that’s evident throughout the region we are very positive about the area and the various possibilities it has for back office operations. The hospitality was excellent and we liked what we saw,” he said.

The company has worked with some of the world’s leading businesses including Chevron, PepsiCo Inc., Qualcomm, TMobile, Time Warner, Safety-Kleen Systems, and Turner Broadcasting System.
